Scope of application of magnetic particle inspection:

1. Suitable for detecting cracks and defects on the surface and near surface of ferromagnetic material workpieces with very small dimensions and extremely narrow gaps that are difficult to visually detect

2. Suitable for testing martensitic stainless steel and precipitation hardened stainless steel materials, not suitable for testing austenitic stainless steel materials

3. Suitable for detecting unprocessed raw materials (such as steel billets) and processed semi-finished and finished products, as well as in-service and used workpieces

4. Suitable for detecting pipes, rods, plates, shapes, forged steel parts, cast steel parts, and welded parts

5. Used for detecting defects on the surface and near surface of workpieces, but not suitable for detecting shallow and wide defects on the surface of workpieces, deeply buried internal defects, and defects with an angle of less than 20 degrees between the extension direction and the direction of magnetic field lines
